Johnny Depp in "Aparichit"

I have been seeing the posters hangin over every wall, on every newpaper in the last few weeks for a Hindi movie called "Aparichit", with a man so closely resembling Johny Depp in Don Juan de Marco.

With JD's ever growing repertoire in weird movies, I thought I might have missed on his latest Indian venture.I was just telling my mom that the day is not far when JD will be a household name in India when she quipped: "He is no Johnny Vonny. You are looking at the southern star Vikram".

A little later I was enlightened that this movie is a Hindi Dubbed version of the original 2005 tamil Blockbuster "Aniyar"(Stranger). I have'nt seen either of them, but I hear its an action/social/drama/thriller about a man [Vikram] who plays the character of a man with MPD- Multiple Personality Disorder(4 disorders to be precise), and takes it on himself to cleanse the corrupt filth in the society ! Now who would'nt wanna play that?

Gone are the days when Bollywood movies used be remade or dubbed with Southern flavour!

p.s: I might have been wrong to liken Vikram to Johnny Depp, but I'm dead sure Johhny Depp would do a good job in a hindi movie, with/out a dub!

First I thought I was drunk. Then I realized that you've blasphemed.

(a) Anniyan is a horrible film that I had the misfortune of watching.

(b) It is a cheap copy of Primal Fear + Se7en (Which was bad, too).

(c) Vikram is not a versatile actor. Not even 20% of Depp who can play any role you can think of. Remember 'Ed Wood'?

(d) You badly need to check that "ocular device" of yours because it seems to be malfunctioning. (Look alike? Closely resembling? NO WAY!)

"With JD's ever growing repertoire in weird movies, I thought I might have missed on his latest Indian venture."

I'm sick of ordinary movies these days I don't sit straight unless it's an oddball film. Oh, and for the record, I'd have seen Pirates of the Caribbean some 242 times. It falls second in the list of movies I've watched many times - first is ofcourse LOTR.

BTW, Shantaram has plenty of opportunities for Johnny Depp to speak in Marathi/Hindi. I believe he'll do a great job.

Um, no, I guess it wasn't a fair observation, if you know what I mean. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give Anniyan 1.0000000001. (Since I can't give it a negative score) I was shocked to see Johnny Depp's (For the record, I am not a fan/fanatic, I think he is a versatile actor who can do just about any role convincingly. And I like his weird movies)name being dragged into a C grade film (that some idiots bothered to watch in the theatre).

Listen to us on this occasion. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STUPID FILM. You won't regret it. Good Smeagol knows about this one. We knows it's bad.

Oh yeah..JD is a great actor..and how come he hasn't won a single Academy Award?...ur so called great actor...How many films of Vikram have you seen till date?..Did u happen to see Pithamagan(National award winner) or a Sethu (which Salman Khan bluntly copied and did a terrible job)..first see those and comment on Vikram's versatility..and Seven a bad movie too...good..u dont have the right to comment on any good film leave alone Vikram..
