US has warned *code red* for all its nationals in Mumbai & Delhi, suspecting possible AQ plots in the run-up to the I_day.
The US Embassy said the attacks could possibly occur from Friday till August 16 and the likely targets are airports, vital government installations and crowded places. ( Which part of Mumbai is not crowded? colleges?)
As if the never-ending rains are not enough, we have another threat to keep us indoors. Every alternate day Mr Johnny Joseph's flood alerts clog our sms memory. That does'nt stop the riff raff from going on with their chores.
While the Govt. has officially shrugged off these “very innocuous” advisory issued by the US embassyto its people ,the Centre has actually gone ahead and directed the states to issue advisories/instructions to the general public to verify the antecedents of tenants and buyers of vehicles, an official spokesperson of the Union home ministry said. Meanwhile, a contingent of 38 NSG personnel has been deployed at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research at Kalpakkam, near Chennai, following reports that major installations could be targeted by terrorists. Union home secretary has directed various states to sensitise the public and take all necessary precautions.
Desperate measures or innocuous advisory?

The problem with all these alrets is that it tends to make you a scared person.. I am planning to see a movie on the weekend.. and am now worried that there would be a bomb blast in the theater !!
My friend left for Singapore last night and he had to go to the air port 4 hours early !!
Kids have missed more than 2 weeks of school this year due to various flood alerts and bomb scares (not that schools teach you much)
If this is the sign of times in big cities.. maybe ist time to move to smaller places.. where the air is cleaner and life is safer .. But would you be a coward and run away from this ?
Peepl seeking a cleaner & safer life may not be termed "coward"..so long as they wish tos atya within the boundaries of this country.. I know peepl who talk a great deal abt patriotism , and send /settle their childeren abroad.. Cowardice is better than hypocrisy!
Day in and day out,we are facing terrorist attack in J&K. While UK alerted US regarding terrorists' plans to blow up planes from London to US destinations, Wah..US issues code red for their citizens in India ! (especially Delhi and Mumbai). Thanks for their advisory. Oldest democacy issuing simply advisory to Largest Democracy, without taking any visible steps to curb terrorism emanating from the units bordering Democratic Indian Republic. There is terror because of the error committed by US befriending Military/totalitarian states while shedding crocodile tears for"democracy".
Enough is enough. India as well as the world(US) are fully aware of the terrorist camps nurtured by the county(ies) bordering India. US is fully aware that in the guise of attacking J&K, they infilterate Uk/USA etc besides Mumbai/Delhi in India.
Unless"concrete" open steps are taken by both the so called Democracies, issue of advisory by US and mere endorsing it by our powers that be, will not do.
Follow the allegory-Fierce Nrasimha Avathaar is needed to defeat the terrorist Hiranyakasipu.
No question of showing the other cheek(orCBM)when the terrorist slaps time and again in the veiled name of liberation or holy-war.
