For the records, I'm neither a fan of Abhishek Rai nor Aishwarya Bacchan but have nothing against them per se.
No offence to Big Bacchanji, but I'm quite apalled by the media coverage of his confirmation of supposed engagement and ensuing marriage of these two darlings of the media. If the news of their "secretive" courting was already in public domain for years, then why should their engagement be such a breaking news? ( ok, except may be for Viviek O or Salman K). I guess it was heart- "Breaking" for the media to have found out an unnatural ending to this relationship..culminating in marriage, instead of a mirage!!!
I don't think anybody really cares whether Ash carries, marries or buries her current/past/future beau. Its the press and the media which have fabricated this into a sensational news , like the Noida butchery, only here ,we are yet to find out who is the butcher!
For almost a week now, all the news channels have been airing the footages from "Guru" or "Umrao Jaan" ad nauseum to corroborate the engagement news! Like this is not enough, we now have the "Shilpa Shetty - victim of racism" controversy.In a country where millions of people who are victims of racism and discrimation in their everyday life never managed to catch the attention of the bosses, Shilpa Shetty's tears from UK changed all that over night?
Why is the Indian media so celebrity crazy?

I dont know whether it is a media hype or one engineered by interested or jealous (read VO/SK)party.
I find it very strange that how many senior Gods of Hindu pantheon (besides other religion)are to be propitiated just for "manglic" ( to ward off the evil effects of a malefic planet,Mars ! )Varnashi, Ajmir, Pushkar....and what not !
I am at a loss to understand whether sufficient senior Gods will be available at all if one is afflicted with more than one planet say Mars and Saturn also.
At any rate,I presume that big B would have consulted,besides astrologers, his "computerji" also before taking parental decision on the deal.

Please, please do not use "public domain" to describe media crazy youngsters who savour their 24/7 News Channels. Public domain is much, much more than that. It is a philosophy which has gained immense respect and following, which I admit, includes me.
For starters, think of where you'd be without softwares like Audacity - we'd be Tech Neanderthals scratching our caves for a living. Think where I'd be without all the Gutenberg e-books.
Im sick of thse celebrity marriages too..so what, everybody gets married...what should be on da news is if they really make it to the end w.o. divorce!

Yes I agree way to hyped! Infact the first thought that struck me after reading the first 3 lines of your blog was-the Shilpa Shetty racism case. I read somewhere her earnings will be around 8.5 crores because of that 1 remark. Hell almost seems worth it.
